What is PayPal Credit?

PayPal Credit is like a credit card, without the plastic. It's a credit limit that's attached to your PayPal account which you can use for your online purchases.

If approved, PayPal Credit is accessible from your PayPal account, allowing you to manage your payments, view your balance and check your monthly statements online. There's no lengthy application to fill out, just answer some quick questions, review and accept the terms and get a decision in seconds.

Applying for PayPal Credit is easy. Just click on the PayPal Credit button on our checkout page. A selection of instalment offers will be displayed, enabling you to spread the cost of your purchase across a number of payments.

The application form takes minutes to complete. PayPal will then run a credit check and, if approved, you'll have a credit limit linked to your PayPal account as soon as you accept your Credit Agreement.

You can use the credit limit granted to pay for today's purchase and future purchases at thousands of online stores where PayPal is accepted, up to your credit limit.

What credit offers are available?

If your basket is eligible, a selection of instalment offers will be displayed enabling you to spread the cost of your purchase across a number of monthly payments. Wise Guys purchases may qualify for the following options:

Spend £99+ : 0% interest for 12 months
Spend £199+ : 0% interest for up to 24 months
Spend £499+ : 0% interest for up to 36 months
Spend £999+ : 0% interest for up to 48 months

As long as you are a UK customer and have £99 worth of goods in your basket you will be eligible to apply for PayPal Credit.

How do I use PayPal Credit?

It couldn't be easier! You can apply for PayPal Credit directly from the checkout. Just select PayPal at checkout, then click on the PayPal Pay Later button.

The application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and you will then be redirected back to complete your transaction.

Do you need to have a PayPal account?

YES.

Once you have chosen the PayPal Credit payment option, you will be directed to the PayPal website. It is a PayPal Credit requirement that you login to your PayPal account or create an account at that point.

If you already have PayPal Credit there is no need to reapply, just choose PayPal Credit at checkout.

What do I do if I am unsuccessful in applying for PayPal Credit?

Unfortunately, we have no control over the success or decline of an application – this is all PayPal’s decision. If you have been declined, PayPal will email you with information about why your application was unsuccessful.

Don’t worry, although you weren’t approved for PayPal Credit, you can still use PayPal to check out securely with your bank account, debit or credit card.
